I have South African and UK certifications in Anatomy and Physiology, Therapeutic Reflexology, and Therapeutic Aromatherapy. I also have certificates in Shiatsu Therapy and Reiki, along with years of experience in crisis and trauma counselling. I have lived in three different countries, on two different continents, I am aware that the training I have received in South Africa has been the most thorough and extensive training possible in my fields. The first written history of Reflexology and Aromatherapy have been discovered on pyramid walls in Egypt. It is believed that the lifetime trained Nubians were brought in exclusively for the health of the Pharaohs. Reflexology works on the principles of your full body being represented in your feet reflexes, and by working these reflexes, it is possible to bring back balance to your health. A treatment would be 45 minutes. Aromatherapy works via stimulation of the sense of smell and working out the toxins in the lymphatic system with the use of specific essential oils. Hence a relaxing, therapeutic massage introduces the uniquely blended oils, for your specifically, into your skin. A treatment would be an hour and 15 minutes. Shiatsu therapy was been developed in Japan, and literally translated means finger pressure. By utilising the same accupuncture points on the body as Chinese medicine, blockages of energy flows are worked out non-invasively, no piercing of the skin as accupuncture needles would do, by only using thumb, finger and elbow pressure from the therapist. A treatment would be 45 minutes. Reiki is a non-invasive therapy which is the channelling of universal energy. Also developed in Japan, the therapy has been passed down through Master to student. The hour of receiving the energy promotes total relaxation, and can result in many surprising results. For the client, all forms of treatment would be discussed in full. A course of effective action would be your choice and the plans set in motion. The client's desired outcome and their responsibility toward achieving that outcome would be explained completely.
